The Ajités is an association, run by volunteers and funded by the Paris Brain Institute and by the registration fees of its members. The body that runs the association is the Bureau, which consists of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. They fill the official positions of President, Secretary, Treasurer, Organizer of the Workshop, Organizer of the Science Pizza, Organizer of the Happy Hour, Organizer of the Brain Fuel and Monday Lunches (in collaboration with the Scientific and Medical Affairs Office from the Institute). In addition to these formal bureau functions, there are people who organize the remaining yearly events, and those who help out the Bureau members. Volunteers are elected for all of these functions each year in February, when we have our General Assembly. During this assembly, we also elect the Comité d’Administration (CA), a council that the Bureau consults during monthly meetings. Any researcher and engineer from the institute can join the CA – and we warmly recommend and invite you to get involved too!
